I'm Rick, a Mexico City-based photographer shooting mostly black and white film. My playground is the streets—the Centro Histórico, decaying corners, shadows at sunset, whatever catches my eye. I don't overthink it. If something feels right, I shoot it. Architecture, people, bikes, decay—it's all fair game when you're walking with a camera.

I develop my own film because there's something addictive about pulling a negative from the tank and seeing what you caught. My daily carry is an Olympus XA3—small, unassuming, perfect for disappearing into the crowd. When I want something bigger, I shoot medium format. Those 6×9 negatives hit different.

I'm not chasing perfection or sharpness. What matters is the moment, the contrast, the grain. Film forces you to slow down and commit, and that's what keeps me coming back roll after roll.

This portfolio is just a small slice of what I've been shooting lately. All analog, all developed in my bathroom-turned-darkroom, all shot in a city that never runs out of stories to tell.
